We have had a lot of calls regarding the safety of the AstraZeneca Vaccine.
Please be advised that the British government do not share the concerns being voiced by some European counties about this British vaccine.
If you have concerns, please look at the NHS website.

Covid Lockdown Update Nov 2020
We understand that with the announcement last week of a further lockdown a number of patients may be concerned about the situation, especially those in very vulnerable risk groups and particularly those at risk with children attending educational settings. The current government advice about high risk groups is available here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november
The Government will be writing to those patients who are particularly vulnerable. The current guidance for protecting patients in these groups is available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19
The GPs at the surgery have no additional information and are unable to help with requests for sick notes or the national letters which are being sent out by the government.
We know that it is difficult for those who are concerned about work or children attending educational settings especially if a household has vulnerable members. We recognise that these are difficult times but decisions about work and school are not ones that GP practices should be involved with and would advise you to have a discussion with the school or your employer to decide on the best course of action.
