Registering with Us and Named GPs

The Registration Process

In order to register with us, you have to reside within the CT8 postcode.

You can register online by clicking this link: Register with Westgate Surgery

Alternatively, you can bring proof of your CT8 address i.e. utility bill, bank statement, etc to reception. Our reception team will then provide you with a registration pack and book you in for a registration appointment. You will need to complete the pack and bring it to your appointment.

If a child or an adult is not capable of making an application to register, a Parent/Guardian or Carer can make on their behalf.

Our Extended Practice Boundary

We have an extended boundary area for existing registered patients ONLY.

This extends up to, but does not include: Rancorn Road in Westbrook, High Street in Garlinge and Epple Road in Birchington. Any existing patients who move within this boundary will be kept on at the surgery.

If you have any questions about our practice boundary, please contact the surgery.

Named GP

All patients have a named, accountable GP. This is the GP you’ll be registered with and they’ll responsible for your care at the practice. If you do not know who this once you’re registered, please ask our reception team.

Philosophy of Care

We aim to provide quality care and have for many years managed this through GPs having their own list of patient.

Knowing who your GP is and who has responsibility for your care is now being rolled out across the country by the Government. Please click here to view Westgate’s commitment to providing a quality service for the residents of Westgate.
